Hubballi: Parliamentary Affairs, Mines and Coal Minister Pralhad Joshi has stated that he is happy to be part of the Union Government and has no intention to plunge into state politics.

Speaking to reporters here on Saturday, Joshi lashed out at former Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy who claimed that BJP and RSS are mulling over making him (Pralhad Joshi) chief minister of the state after the election. He said Kumaraswamy’s remarks were immature and childish.

” I have no ambition to join state politics, so BJP making me chief minister does not arise. He expressed his delight at working for Prime Minister Narendra Modi, describing him as a once-in-a-century leader who would be a joy for anyone to work for.

He stated that there was much to learn from Modi’s vision of growth, capacity, care for the poor, and enthusiasm to learn new things about technology, and that the world has agreed that a perceptible shift was taking place in India under Modi’s leadership. Furthermore, he has efficiently handled crucial ministries. “I am working successfully under Narendra Modi,” he continued.

He also lashed out at the Congress party for its leaders attending budget day placing flowers on their ears. The Congress party has come to power always by deceiving people. The people have placed flowers on their ears hence the party has become invisible in many states, he said.

In response to the party’s position on Higher Education Minister Ashwath Narayan’s statement on CLP leader Siddaramaiah, Joshi stated that the former had already expressed regret and clarified the context in which he made it. He added that once he had apologised, the subject should be closed, and he would not get into what Siddaramaiah had previously stated against Narendra Modi.
