Raichur: Two people were killed on the spot after a truck ran over the bike on which they were travelling.
The accident happened near Sasalmari Camp in Sindhanoor taluk on Sunday. According to locals, the biker and his pillion had gone to Sindhanoor to get diesel for their vehicle, and they were on their way to Sasalmari when the truck ran over them after knocking their bike from behind.
The crushed dead bodies were removed using an earthmover; the deceased’s identity has yet to be determined. Sindhanoor police have registered a case in this regard.
