Muddebihal: Two people, including a 10-year-old boy, who had gone to the KBJNL canal near Hadalgeri village in Muddebihal taluk were washed away due to a strong current of water while they were washing their clothes on Thursday.
The deceased have been identified as Rasool Maldar, 25, and Samiulla Golasangi, 10. They were working in a chicken centre in Muddebihal and were natives of Chimmada village in Rabakavi-Banahatti taluk in Bagalakote district.
The fire and emergency department staff fished out dead bodies with the help of locals. This incident happened within the limits of the Muddebihal police station.
