Two Hubballi and a Sirsi LaborTragically Killed in Madikeri Soil Collapse

Three laborers lost their lives due to a soil collapse while they were working in an under-construction building in Madikeri on Tuesday.  According to the sources, two labourers were from Hubballi and one from Sirsi.

The police have circulated photographs of the deceased and requested the public’s assistance in identifying and locating their family members so that they can share the sad news.

Meanwhile, Labor Minister Santosh Lad has announced Rs 2 lakh as ex-gratia for the deceased workers’ families. He has also instructed the concerned officials to submit a report about the disaster and provide full support to the affected families. Additionally, he has directed them to take all necessary legal actions against the contractor responsible for this tragedy.
