Bengaluru: During a meeting at Vidhanasoudha, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah emphasized the importance of maintaining peace and order, holding officials accountable for any disturbances. He specifically addressed senior police officers, urging them to prioritize addressing traffic issues in Bengaluru and combating cybercrime.
The Chief Minister stressed the need for strict legal measures against social media posts that incite trouble, and he called for proactive measures to prevent drug addiction. To enhance safety, he recommended continuous vigilance by the Hoysala patrol to deter criminal activities.
Furthermore, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah urged senior officials to regularly visit police stations for inspections and emphasized the significance of treating the public with respect and fairness when they approach the police for assistance.
He urged police officers to take decisive action against illegal activities within their jurisdictions. The Chief Minister also issued a stern warning against hooliganism, unauthorized club activities, and drug-related offenses, emphasizing the necessity of strict measures to curb such issues.
He also said that his government would not tolerate moral policing and it would be ended in the state.
