Hubballi: The members and president of the Hubballi-Dharwad Municipal Corporation’s (HDMC) house committee constituted for the formation of ward committees will visit Mangaluru to study how the ward committees are working in the coastal city.
The house committee members and officials will be in Mangaluru on February 6 to discuss and gather information on how the committees were formed and how they are working. The decision to study the functioning of the ward committees in the coastal city was taken at a meeting of the house committee on December 17.
House committee president Ramanna Badiger, and members and officials will study the ward committees and prepare a report. In the HDMC general body meeting held on August 25, 2022, a decision to form house committees for the formation of mandatory ward committees was taken.
