Chitradurga: Three members of the same family were found dead in their house under mysterious circumstances in Gopanhalli, in Challakeri taluk, Chitradurga.
The deceased have been identified as Tippaji, 75, and her daughters Marakka, 45, and Dyamakka, 43; the police have said that the victims might have committed suicide, but a postmortem report would reveal it.
The locals said that, following marital issues, Dyamakka and Marakka were living with her mother in Gopanhalli. The locals said that the trio had entered the house on November 2 and did not open the doors until November 3 evening. The suspected neighbours knocked on the doors but did not get any response from inside. The neighbours called the police, and they broke open the door and found dead bodies.
The police suspect that the trio might have killed themselves by consuming poison. Challakere police registered a case in this regard.
