Yadgir: Three people were tragically killed in an accident involving a state government bus and a car near Maddaraki village in Shahpur taluk on Thursday.
The victims have been identified as Nagaraju Sajjan (59), Mahadevi (50), and Renuka (40), all residents of Rangampet in Surpur Taluk. Nagaraju Sajjan, an officer in the Agriculture department, was among the deceased.
Reports suggest that the accident occurred while the group was returning home from a wedding in Kalaburgi.
In addition to the fatalities, five to six passengers travelling on the bus were injured. The bus driver reportedly fled the scene following the incident, while the Bimarayanagudi station police arrived to investigate.
