Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai has ordered Belagavi Deputy Commissioner MG Hiremath to submit a detailed investigation report into the alleged incident of three babies’ deaths after administering the measles-rubella (MR) vaccine.
Three babies allegedly died in the Salahalli Primary Health Centre limit in Ramadurg taluk in Belagavi district after the administration of the MR vaccine recently.
The CM made a telephone call to the DC and asked him to submit a detailed report on the alleged incident. Meanwhile, Health Minister Sudhakar said that responsible officers would be suspended. He said that he had received the report and that the cause of death was claimed to be septic shock syndrome.
