Hubballi: Three Hubballi residents were killed in a road accident near Sangatikoppa village in Kalaghatgi police station limits on Tuesday after the car in which they were travelling met with a head-on collision with a truck.
“The deceased have been identified as Mohammad Ishan, Mohammad Taif, and Ismai; they are all residents of Hubballi City, and they are in their early 20s,” said Kalaghtagi Inspector Shrishail Kamatagi.
He said that the youths were on their way to Karwar to visit a religious place. There were six passengers in their Ertiga when it collided with a truck.One person was killed on the spot, one was declared dead on arrival, and the third person died in the hospital just after the beginning of the treatment. All the injured were shifted to KIMS, said the inspector. In this regard, a case has been filed.
