Gadag: A case of theft was registered at the Town Police station in Gadag. The thieves gained entry into the residence of businessman Irappa Pujar in Adarsh Nagar by breaking open the door of the house after climbing the stairs.
The thieves stole away Rs 6.91 lakh cash, golden jewellery weighing about 67 grams worth Rs 1.67 lakh, silver articles worth Rs 7.50 lakh, and a CCTV camera DVR worth Rs 20,000. The incident happened between October 1 and 2, but the complainant approached the police on Saturday.
