The use of mobile phones in polling booths is prohibited.

Hubballi: During the MLC election on December 10, voters will not be able to bring their smart phones or mobile phones inside the polling booth.

According to Deputy Commissioner Nitesh Patil, the order was issued to prohibit voters from taking photos or recording videos of their voting and to safeguard the voting process’s secrecy.

The DC further stated that preparations would be made for mobile phones and other electronic devices to be safely stored outside of polling booths.

Despite this, he stated that anyone discovered breaking the order, the polling booth officer in charge will be made responsible and strict action would be taken against that officer.
