The number of active COVID cases in Dharwad district now stands at 74.
Dharwad: The district, which had Covid cases in the single digits just a day ago, has experienced a significant increase in the number of positive cases. According to a media bulletin issued by the district administration, 42 additional positive cases were recorded in the district in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of active cases in the district to 74.
The number of Covid cases is expected to rise in the coming days, after the outbreaking of infection at SDM Medical College. After Bengaluru, which reported 171 new Covid cases in the last 24 hours, Dharwad is the only district to report such a high number of Covid cases.
