The Kashmir Files: DC Nitesh Patil instructs theatre owners to give discount

Hubballi: Deputy Commissioner Nitesh Patil has asked all the owners of the theatres showing The Kashmir Files film to give a concession of 9 percent to the buyers on the purchase of the movie tickets.

He said the state government has announced that it has made the film tax-free in the state, and hence the state government will not be imposing its GST on the ticket price. The theatre owners have to ensure that the GST waiver is written on the tickets in bold fonts so that it is easily visible to the ticket buyers.

The concession will be in force for the next six months starting from today (March 14), he said.

The government would publish the process of the state GST return filing method, and he asked GST officers to implement this order and give him a report in this regard.
