The Hubballi-Dharwad Police recently earned a lot of praise for establishing a green corridor to rapidly transfer a liver from SDM Hospital in Sattur to Hubballi airport. As there was no traffic, the organ was transported in record time. The ambulance transporting the organ travelled 18 kilometres in only 12 minutes.

The twin city police created a green corridor on Sunday, and a kidney was carried from SDM Hospital to Tatwadarsha Hospital in under seven minutes, covering a distance of 12 kilometres.

In the midst of a torrential downpour, the cops offered zero traffic for the ambulance. ACP Traffic MS Hosmani, North Traffic Inspector Srikant Totagi, Dharwad Traffic Inspector MS Naikar, and staff from the North traffic and Dharwad traffic police station all assisted in this work.

The officers thanked the people for their cooperation in transporting the organ.

SDM is one of the region’s premier health institutes, with a reputation for providing high-quality treatment. It was the SDM institute that convinced the families of a brain-dead patient to donate the organs, stressing the significance of organ donation then, and they were successful in the unique cause this time as well.
