The Cabinet approves anti-conversion bill.

Belagavi: The state cabinet approved the anti-conversion bill on Monday, and it is expected to be tabled during the current legislative session.

According to our sources, the Cabinet unanimously approved the ‘Karnataka Protection of the Right to Freedom of Religion Bill, 2021.’ It is expected to be introduced in the Assembly on Tuesday.

Congress opposed the law, claiming that the BJP was attempting to harass the Christian community. The JD(S) has also announced that they will oppose the legislation.
