Telangana CM KCR ends speculation says he will launch a national party


Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao (KCR), who is nursing an ambition to play a pivotal role in national politics, said that soon he would launch a national party. KCR ended the speculation by saying this on Sunday. He said the work is on chalking out policies.

He said there has been a consensus on the alternative national agenda after lengthy discussions with economists, intellectuals, and experts from various fields, just as they did before the start of the separate Telangana movement.

KCR is mustering the support from regional political party leaders and is in plan to build a strong non-BJP, non-Congress alliance. Karnataka’s former CM HD Kumaraswamy met, KCR’s son and Minister KT Ramarao in Hyderabad on Sunday. Both the leaders had elaborated discussions at a private hotel, but the details of the meeting not made public by both leaders.

HD Kumaraswamy also met K Chandrashekhar Rao later in the day, HD Kumaraswamy said that the KCR is planning to plunge into national politics and his party would be launched by Vijayadashami festival.

Kumaraswamy wrote on social media post informing the public about his meeting said,

“Met Telangana Chief Minister Sri K. Chandrashekhar Rao at Pragati Bhavan. We had an important and cordial discussion on Karnataka & Telangana State issues besides present political situation in Karnataka.”

He further said that ” He expressed his desire & the need to build a ‘parallel political front’ vis-a-vis national political parties. I assured to stand with him and wish good luck to the new front comprising farmers, labourers, Dalits & common man.(SIC)

The former Karnataka CM wished the Telangana CM all the best and wrote “Elderly Statesman Sri KCR said that he will take a plunge into national politics around 2023 Karnataka Assembly elections and before Vijayadashami festival. I am deeply touched by the warm hospitality, love and camaraderie shown to me by the senior leader.(SIC)”
