Dr RH Patil, chief of the agrometeorology department and principal nodal officer, GKMS units, UAS Dharwad, delivered a lecture at the department’s fourth tech summit.
Senior scientist from the Bengaluru meteorological department, CS Patil, was the chief guest. He delivered a speech on the impact of the changing environment on agricultural activities in the north Karnataka region.
Dr KG Sumesh, Dr PS Pattar, SB Eledalli, Dr Shantveerayya, CB Kabadagi, Sahana Hegde, P Lavnya, Basavaraj Naglikar and others were present.
On the occasion, senior scientist Shankar N Kulkarni, who recently retired, was felicitated by the staff and teachers.
