Haveri: Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee President DK Shivakumar has sworn on Basavanna, Shishhunala Sharif, and Kuvempu that they would provide 200 units of electricity to all the households in the state if they were elected.
Addressing a Prajadhawani Rally in the city, he charged that the state BJP government is highly corrupt and that the barriers of corruption have been broken by this government. He alleged that contractor Santosh Patil committed suicide because of the corruption of this government.
He urged people to vote for Congress and promised that they would provide the best governance. He said that many leaders from Haveri district are eagerly waiting to join Congress, but they were asked to wait as the Congress party literally has no space to accommodate them, he said.
