Bengaluru: A suspected monkeypox infected patient has been admitted to the isolation ward of a private hospital in Bengaluru, making him the state capital’s second suspected case.

The suspected patient is from Ethiopia. He arrived in Bengaluru on July 4 to undergo a renal transplant at a private hospital, and sources said that he developed skin rashes. His samples of blood and skin lesions were sent for testing at the National Institute of Virology in Pune, and the results are awaited.
