Sub Urban police nab an accused who stole valuables from cops’ houses

Hubballi: The Hubballi Suburban Police have arrested an accused who allegedly stole valuables by breaking into police staff’ homes on Karwar Road.

Ganesh, a resident of Ballari, has been identified as the accused. The arrest of the accused has resulted in the detection of three housebreaking theft cases reported within the Suburban police station limits. Two years ago, the accused broke into two police officers’ homes and stole cash and other valuables.

And he recently broke into a house near Mission Compound and stole cash and jewellery from there. While investigating the recent case, the police apprehended the accused and discovered that he was the same person who had broken into their homes two years ago.

From his possession, the police recovered 165 grammes of gold ornaments, 20 grammes of silver articles, and Rs 30,000 in cash. The accused was nabbed by a police team led by Inspector Ravichandra DB.
