State government issues fresh Covid guidelines


Following the finding of Omicron variant Covid positive cases, the Karnataka government released new instructions on Friday.

Briefing about the new guidelines after attending a meeting with Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai along with the Covid illness experts’, Revenue Minister R Ashoka said that the government is prepared fully to tackle the situation that may arise during the third wave of the pandemic.

He said all gatherings, meetings, and conferences should tightly limit the number of attendees to 500.

All cultural events, fests, and celebrations in educational institutions shall be postponed until January 15, 2022.

Parents of children under the age of 18 who attend school or college should be immunized with two doses of the COVID vaccine. Only persons who have received two doses of the COVID-19 vaccination will be permitted to enter malls, cinema halls, and theatres.
