Start Infosys team to send 10k postcards to CM Bommai


Hubballi: On Sunday, the Start Infosys Hubballi team launched a postcard campaign. Through this effort, the team will persuade CM Bommai to take action to force Infosys to begin operations from its Hubballi unit.

The team has started an online campaign called “Start Infosys Hubballi”, and more than 5,500 people have signed the petition already. As a part of continuing the effort, the team launched this postcard campaign. Under this, 10,000 postcards signed by the students and twin cities residents will be sent to Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai, said Sham Nargund, a member of the team.

The team said that team members would approach students of the various colleges and create awareness about their campaign and the benefits of Infosys’ unit making functional here. The students would demand the CM to take steps to start the IT giant’s operation from the Hubballi office. Before this, members of the Start Infosys team and students conducted a walkathon from KIMS Hospital’s front gate to BVB College on Sunday morning.

The team said that they would run this campaign for the next 15 days and that 10,000 letters signed by the students would be sent to CM’s office through the postal department.

Social activist Santosh Nargund, RJ Rashid, IT professional Sham Nargund, Shivanand Belavatagi, Vinayak Inamdar, Laxman Narsapur, Soumya Kumbar, Anand Basava, Sriram Raikar, Stalin Hubballi, Sachin Bankapur and others were present.
