Hubballi: Team Start Infosys, which launched a campaign to put pressure on IT giant Infosys to make its Hubballi unit operational, has tasted success. The IT behemoth bent to the pressure of the team “Start Infosys Hubballi” and announced that they would start its Hubballi unit’s operations beginning August 1.

The team has released a press release in this regard, and they said that Infosys has informed its employees about this. The professionals, and activists gathered and formed this Start Infosys Team and launched an online campaign to put pressure on the IT company, and they started a postcard letter campaign to the CM also in this regard.

Santosh Nargund, a social activist and the brain behind this campaign, said that Infosys making its Hubballi unit operational may pave the way for other IT companies to establish their units here, and this would help local talents get job opportunities here. It would arrest talent migration from this region, he said.

All the team members expressed their joy, as soon as the news broke, Sham Nargund, Uday Pendse, Vijay Sai, and Nachiket Jamadar were prime members of the team and they congratulated all who extend their support to the campaign and took part directly and indirectly in the campaign.
