Bengaluru: Former Chief Minister Jagadish Shettar, who recently joined the Congress party just before the assembly elections, met with Chief Minister designate Siddaramaiah in Bengaluru to congratulate him on his new role. Shettar, who was defeated by BJP’s Mahesh Tenginkai in the Hubballi Central constituency, wished Siddaramaiah at his residence.
Later speaking to reporters, he stated that he is not aspiring for any specific position. However, he emphasized his willingness to take on any responsibility assigned to him by the party’s high command. There are indications that Shettar may be given a suitable role and responsibility in the new government.
