Hubballi: Union Minister for Women and Child Welfare, Smriti Irani, left crowds disappointed when she had to cut short her roadshow in the Hubballi-Dharwad Central assembly segment due to her flight schedule. Although BJP candidate Mahesh Tenginkai continued the roadshow, the gathered crowd was not enthused.
The BJP had planned the roadshow of the party’s charismatic speaker and campaigner in the Shirur Park area, intending to cover the Tender Sure Road and culminate at Tolanakere.
However, after covering only half a kilometer, Irani gave a short speech before leaving for the airport, leaving BJP workers who had hoped to take selfies with her disappointed and many leaving after her departure.
During her address, the Union Minister criticized Jagadish Shettar, accusing him of betraying Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the BJP by joining the Congress party after taking advantage of everything the BJP had offered him. She claimed that Shettar was now working against the BJP’s interests and placing blame on the party for his selfish motives.
Irani also appealed to voters to honor those who sacrificed their lives to build the Ram Temple and to support the BJP candidate Mahesh Tenginkai overwhelmingly in order to defeat Shettar.
