Six members of a family, including four children, allegedly committed suicide by jumping into a well in their farm field near Doranhalli village in Surpur taluk in Yadgiri district on Monday.

The victims may have plunged into the well on Monday morning, but the bodies reappeared in the evening when a passerby discovered them and alerted the police, according to Surpur Sub Division DySP Venkatesh Hogibandi.
