Dharwad: Shivalila Vinay Kulkarni, wife of former minister Vinay Kulkarni and Congress leader, has accused the BJP of using Income Tax raids as a scare tactic to target her husband and his close associates.
Speaking to reporters here on Saturday, she alleged that the BJP’s intention is to disrupt Vinay’s campaign process and harass his supporters.
Ishwar Shivalli, the Block Congress president, echoed her sentiments and said that these raids were designed to obstruct their campaigning efforts. However, the people of Dharwad Rural constituency will not be deterred by such tactics and will teach the BJP candidate Amrut Desai and Union Minister Pralhad Joshi a lesson for their malicious intentions.
Arvind Egangoudar also claimed that he was served a notice to appear before IT officials and that no other constituency in Karnataka has been targeted in this manner.
