Speaking to reporters here at his Hubballi residence, Shettar admitted that the party leadership had asked him to make way for new faces. But he said he asked the leaders on what basis they have taken the decision.
They did not furnish proper reason for their decision not to give me ticket. “I am fit and fine and I am below 75 years of age. Built party for 30 years but their decision has shocked me and pained by their decision, “he said.
“I asked party leaders to reconsider their decision and they said that they will review it and get back to me. And I am waiting for their decison. If the party takes adverse decision, then future course of action will be decided, “he said.
Shettar said there is no anti-incumbancy against him. “The survey report is also positive then what basis they decided not to give ticket to me. I am not able to digest this, “he said.
