Hubballi: Former Chief Minister and Congress Party candidate from Hubballi Central constituency, Jagadish Shettar, has referred to the upcoming election as the “semi-final” and stated that the parliament elections are the final.
He indirectly responded to Union Minister Pralhad Joshi’s jibe, stating that he was asked not to contest but chose to play from the opposition team.
Speaking at a rally in Hosur, Shettar sought support from the voters, promising to bring more developmental projects to the constituency if elected. He also mentioned that his self-respect was harmed in the BJP, which led him to leave despite working hard for them.
BJP leader Devendra Harivana also joined the Congress party along with his supporters and extended his support to Jagadish Shettar.
During his door-to-door campaign in the constituency, Shettar met with voters and promised to continue the development of the area, this time from the Congress party. Congress leaders Anilkumar Patil, Altaf Halwoor, and others were present during the campaign in Rajeshwari Nagar in ward number 52. Shettar urged voters to cast their votes in his favor and give him a chance to serve them.
