Hubballi:
Large and Medium scale Industry Minister Jagadish Shettar has once again clearly stated that there will be no change of guard in the state. Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa will be the chief minister and there is no question of changing the chief minister.
Speaking to reporters here on Sunday, Shettar said “We did not discuss this matter even at the party level. Even party high command not at all discussed changing the CM. “ I don’t know how these kinds of rumours spread and from where these rumours generate. I already stated that Yediyurappa will continue to run the government and there is no doubt in that,” said the minister.
Reacting to a question on Hubballi-Dharwad (West) MLA Arvind Bellad would be the next chief minister and many social media posts claiming that he would be the next CM. The minister said, “ I won’t comment on those social media posts.”
On a question Bellad meeting the Swamijis of various Mutts, Shettar said there is nothing wrong in meeting the Swamijis. “We also meet Swamijis, what is wrong with it. Linking this to politics is not right. If I visit Mysuru, I meet Suttur Seer, in Chitradurga I meet three-four Swamijis. If I go to Koppal, I meet Swamiji there and what is wrong with it,” he questioned.
