Speaking to reporters, Tenginkai said that he was a loyal soldier of the party and would contest the election wherever the party suggested. “I have not sought a party ticket to contest, either from the central constituency or Kalaghatagi; I will do whatever the party instructs me to do,” said Tenginkai.
