Hubballi: Jagadish Shettar, the Congress candidate for the Hubballi-Dharwad Central Constituency, has accused Union Minister Pralhad Joshi of pressuring his supporters and preventing them from supporting him.
Shettar made the allegations at a press conference here on Monday, where he claimed that Joshi was exerting pressure on businessmen, entrepreneurs, and other individuals who had pledged their support to him. He also alleged that there were audio clips of Joshi pressuring these individuals.
Shettar went on to claim that Joshi had put pressure on educationist Shantanna Kadiwal, who recently joined the Congress, not to support him. Shettar stated that these incidents were just a few examples of the kind of pressure Joshi was putting on his supporters. Despite this pressure, Shettar remained confident that his supporters would not be swayed and would continue to support him. He claimed that even those supporters who were under pressure from Joshi would give an “internal shock” to the BJP.

He that there was an “undercurrent” of support for him in the constituency and that he was confident that his supporters would turn out in full force on election day.
