Bollywood superstar Shahrukh Khan made a phone call to Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma at 2 a.m. on Sunday. The Assam CM himself made this public through a social media post; he said Shahrukh and he had talked over the phone, and the Bollywood star expressed concern over an incident that happened in Guwahati during the screening of his film. The CM assured him that it is the duty of the state government to maintain law and order and promised an inquiry to ensure that no such incidents repeat.

Sarma had claimed that he does not know who Shahrukh Khan is or his movie while replying to a question over an incident of poster tearing in Guwahati, where the star’s movie was screening.
Sarma also said that he did not receive any call from the Bollywood star and said that they would look into the matter if the Pathan star requested him.
