Dharwad: Demanding a separate municipal corporation for Dharwad city, a public rally will be taken out in the city on October 31, said Congress leader Deepak Chinchore.
Speaking to reporters here on Saturday, Chinchore said that Dharwad has all the eligibility to have a separate corporation. All the people of Dharwad are demanding a separate corporation, as the city was neglected in terms of development, and having a separate corporation will increase the pace of development, he said.
Chinchore said that the city was not developed to the expected level and Hubballi gets the lion’s share of developmental projects. The city was not considered under the Smart City Project, he charged.
He said that the rally was not organised by any party, and he requested all to join the rally and make it successful. On that day, the rally would be taken out from Kalabhavan and culminate at the DC Office.
