Hubballi: the BJP leadership did not neglect Senior party leaders, and the news circulating claiming this is wrong. So far, the party has conducted no meetings to discuss the election strategy. The party is being strengthened by taking everyone into confidence, said former CM Jagadish Shettar.
Speaking to reporters after kick-starting Vijaya Sankalpa Abhiyan at Akshay Park on Saturday, Shettar said that the BJP would adopt new tactics to face the upcoming assembly election. Every state is different, so the strategies for this should also be different; hence, the strategy adopted in Gujarat is not applicable here; he said.
Replying to DK Shivakumar’s statement that many MLAs from the BJP will join the Congress just before the announcement of the election, Shettar said DK Shivakumar should reveal their names. “He’s making a statement for the sake of making a statement,” he explained.
