Russian officials have confirmed the death of Yevgeny Prigozhin, leader of the Wagner Group mercenaries, after genetic analysis of bodies from a recent plane crash.
The identities of all 10 deceased, including Prigozhin and key associates, were established through molecular genetic examinations. The private jet crashed north of Moscow, just two months after Prigozhin’s failed coup attempt against President Vladimir Putin.
While the Kremlin denies involvement, suspicions persist that the crash might be linked to revenge for Prigozhin’s coup attempt.
