Meerut: In a startling incident, a Persian breed cat purchased in Delhi became the target of thieves on Saturday night near Rataul. The culprits, riding on a motorcycle, not only made away with the valuable feline but also robbed the victim of a substantial sum of cash and some wristwatches, reported Jagran.
The victim, identified as Younus Siddiqui, the son of Abid Siddiqui and a resident of Rataul, had made a trip to Delhi on that fateful Saturday. During his visit, he acquired a Persian cat and transported it back on a scooty. However, as he was nearing Rataul village along Banthala road late at night, two individuals on a motorcycle intercepted him.
These miscreants forcibly took his wristwatch and swiftly fled the scene. Siddiqui promptly reported the incident to the Rataul police station.
