Roads leading to the BJP state executive committee meeting venue gets a quick facelift.

Hubballi: The road from Akshay Park Circle to a star hotel, where the BJP state executive committee meeting will be held on December 28 and 29, gets a quick facelift. Similarly, Gokul Road, which connects the airport, gets further improvement.

The workers were seen cleaning the Gokul Road and painting the median with black and yellow paint. The road leading to the hotel also got a fresh layer of tar with zebra crossings, median and lane markings. To recall, the road had got a fresh layer of tar when Union Minister Pralhad Joshi’s daughter’s marriage was held in the same hotel.

The public raised their voices then and now also. “Look at the condition of the roads in the city. Why are they improving only that stretch? Hubballi roads will get a facelift only when VIPs arrive in the city. If that is the case, then we pray to God that every week a VIP should visit the city and all the constituencies in the city, “said Satish Irkal, a businessman.

JP Nadda will not attend the meeting.

It is said that BJP national president JP Nadda will chair the meeting, but state BJP in-charge Arun Singh informed that he will not be attending the meeting due to revised COVID guidelines in the state.

The COVID pandemic is not over yet and, according to the COVID guidelines, meetings of more than 300 people are not allowed. Hence, the open rally which Nadda was supposed to address and the grand welcome programme were also cancelled, “said Arun Singh.

Singh also clarified that the next Assembly elections would be fought under the leadership of Basavaraj Bommai. “He is giving good administration and the change of leadership is just a rumour and nothing more than that,” said Singh.
