Retired HDMC ZAC Prakash Galemmanavar joins the Congress

Hubballi: Retired Hubballi-Dharwad Municipal Corporation Zonal Assistant Commissioner Prakash Galemmanavar joined the Congress in the presence of KPCC president DK Shivakumar in Hubballi on Tuesday.

Galemmanavar, who was council secretary and ZAC of Zone 7, had earned a good name as an officer. Galemmanavar joined HDMC as a typist in the year 1984, and he served as revenue DC, council secretary, ZAC, and worked on election-related works during his tenure in the corporation.

The Congress has decided to win the Hubballi central constituency at any cost this time, and as part of its pursuit of victory, the party is aggressively campaigning and bringing new faces into the party fold. Prakash Galemmanavr is the result of such efforts. Vidyanagar Block Congress president Rajat Ullagaddimath brought him into the party fold, and he vowed that many retired officers, social workers, and notable persons of the constituency would be brought into the party.

Speaking on the occasion, after receiving party membership from DK Shivakumar, Galemmanavar said he was impressed by the Congress party’s ideologies and was fed up with the corrupt rule of the BJP. He said he embraced the leadership of Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, Mallikarjun Kharge, Siddaramaiah, and DK Shivakumar and wholeheartedly joined the party to serve the people.

Former mayor Prakash Kyarkatti, KPCC coordinator Mohan Hiremani, former corporator MS Patil, HDMC members Arif Bhadrapur, Suvarna Kallakuntla, and others were present.
