Hubballi: Residents of Yavagal Plot in the city are facing a drinking water problem. The irregular and less pressurised supply of water is hampering the routines of the residents, the majority of whom belong to the lower middle-class category.
Wasim Nalwad, a resident of the area, told that they are facing a water problem after the supply system was handed over to L&T. They had protested against the irregular supply of water to their area and many requests were made to the officials, but despite that, the water supply chain was not restored, he charged.
“Around 25-30 people were trying to fill the pots at the public tap since morning, but due to low pressure, the pots are not filling. If the water flows at this rate, the 25 to 30 cans of water will not fill until 8 p.m.; we requested officials to solve this problem, but it remained as it is,” a resident said.
