Hubballi: IPS Officer, tough cop, Renuka Sukumar has been appointed as the Police Commissioner of Hubballi-Dharwad.
Renuka, a 2011 batch IPS officer has been serving as the Deputy Commandant General, Home Guards, and Ex-Officio DD of Civil Defence. She will take charge from outgoing Commissioner G Santosh Babu
Renuka was the first woman DCP of the commissionerate and was known as tough cop. It is the first time ever that a lady is the top cop in these twin cities.
