Bengaluru: Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa has said that additional relaxation of Covid restrictions has been given in 16 districts of the state where the Covid positivity rate is below 5 per cent.
“We permit shops to open from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. in these 16 districts. A nighttime curfew will be imposed in all districts of the state from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m.”
But there is no relaxation of restrictions in the Dharwad district as the district has an over 5 per cent positivity rate.
The Chief Minister said that they gave additional relaxation in lockdown based on expert committee advice.
The sixteen districts where lockdown restrictions eased are Uttar Kannada, Belagavi, Mandya, Koppal, Chikka-Ballapura, Tumkur, Bengaluru BBMP limits, Gadag, Raichur, Kolar, Haveri, Bagalkot, Bidar.
