- Stampede Turns RCB Victory Parade into Tragedy, Aravind Bellad Blames Congress Govt
Hubballi: “What should have been a moment of boundless celebration for RCB has turned into a mourning procession because of the Congress government’s utter failure,” said Deputy Leader of the Opposition in the Legislative Assembly Aravind Bellad, squarely blaming Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar for the stampede that claimed 11 lives outside M. Chinnaswamy Stadium on Wednesday evening.
Reacting sharply to the incident, Bellad called the tragedy a direct result of “incompetent administration and poor planning.” He alleged that the government turned a joyous event into a political spectacle, ignoring the basic responsibility of ensuring public safety. “Innocent lives have been lost due to sheer negligence. If the CM and DCM had any humanity or conscience left, they should resign immediately,” he stated.
Bellad also appealed to RCB fans to celebrate responsibly. “Rejoice, but be cautious. Your families are waiting for you at home,” he added, as the opposition demanded accountability for what is being called one of the worst crowd-control failures in recent memory.
