Hubballi: In view of Rashtraveer Maharana Pratap Simhaji Jayanti, youths of Hubballi Rajput Samaj cleaned the equestrian statue of Sri Maharana Pratap Simhaji located in the heart of Hubballi city on Saturday.
The team comprising Ananth Singh Rajput, Balveer Singh Thakur, Umesh Singh Angadi, Surjeet Singh Thakur, Venkat Singh Jamadar did the work. They cleaned the statue and as well as the premises surrounding it. The Rashtraveer’s Jayanti will be celebrated on Sunday. But because of the looming threat of the Covid-19 pandemic, the event would be a low-key affair. But Rajput living all across the city and district will offer a special tribute to the great warrior Rajput in their homes.
The Samaj also considered the same that following all the Covid norms, decided to celebrate the Jayanti and decided to distribute food packets to celebrate the event in a more meaningful way.
