Raichur students say they stayed in Ukraine as they had exams.

Raichur: As many as six students from Raichur are stuck in war-affected Ukraine. Two of the students have made a video and shared it with their well-wishers and relatives, saying that as of now they are fine and explaining the reason why they did not take a flight back to India.

The students said the student studying third-year medicine had an exam and the locals were saying that nothing would happen as Ukraine was facing a threat since 2014; hence they delayed making the decision to return back to India. He said that their parents were also anxious and panicked.

Devadurga taluk According to sources, Madarkall resident Rubina studying in first-year MBBS, Devadurga resident Abhishekh studying in second-year MBBS, Lingasugar resident Prajwalkumar Hugar is studying in third-year MBBS, Turvihal Town resident R Somu is studying in third-year MBBS, and one student each from Maski and Sirwar were stuck in war-torn Ukraine.
