Raichur: A 35-year-old man allegedly killed his two children over a suspicion that his wife was having an extramarital affair. The heartbreaking incident happened in Jakkaladoddi village in Devadurga taluk of Raichur district on Saturday evening.
The man has been identified as Ningappa; he allegedly killed his sons Shivaraj, 5, and Raju, 3. The police arrested the accused, who was about to die by suicide. According to the sources, Ningappa, on Saturday evening, arrived home, played with his children, and made a video of them playing. Later, he strangled them to death.
The sources said that after killing the children; he made a call to one of his relatives and asked him to come to his house immediately. By the time the relative arrived at his house, the accused had escaped from the house. He found the dead bodies of the children, and he alerted the police about the crime.
Devadurga police have registered a case, and an investigation is going on.
