Bengaluru: According to Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai, power star Puneeth Rajkumar, who died yesterday owing to a major cardiac arrest, would be laid to rest tomorrow.
Speaking to the media on Saturday, Bommai announced that the actor’s funeral rites will be performed tomorrow. He stated that the timing will be decided in the evening.

Some media sites claimed this morning that the late actor’s last rites would be held this evening, but the arrangements were revised since Puneeth’s elder daughter Driti, who was in New York, has just landed in New Delhi and she may be in Bengaluru around 6 p.m.
The CM stated that conducting last rites after 6 p.m. would be challenging, and given the size of the gathering, many fans would still want to pay their respects, thus the decision was made after consulting with Puneeth’s family.
