Kalaburgi: The alleged kingpin of the PSI recruitment scam, RD Patil, escaped from his house in Akkamahadevi Colony in the city when CID police went to arrest him in connection with a case registered at Tumakuru police regarding the scam.
The CID team went to Patil’s house to arrest him, but Patil, while questioning the investigation team, slowly escaped from the backdoor of his house in front of the officers, said sources.
The CID has registered a case in this regard with Ashok Nagar police, and a search has been launched. Patil is on bail, and sources said that the accused violated the conditions of the bail, hence his bail should be cancelled.
