New Delhi: During the G20 summit, a vehicle from the convoy of U.S. President Joe Biden inadvertently entered the Hotel Taj, where the UAE Crown Prince Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan was accommodated, causing a breach of protocol. This unexpected incident prompted security agencies to swiftly respond and address the situation. The driver of the vehicle was promptly apprehended and subjected to thorough questioning.
Following the interrogation of the driver, it was revealed that he had chosen to serve his other clients before proceeding Biden’s hotel.
According to his statement to the authorities, he had received instructions to arrive at ITC Maurya, where President Biden was lodged during the G20 Summit, by 9:30 am. With some free time available in the morning, the driver agreed to take on another fare, catering to a passenger who needed to reach the Taj Hotel by 8 am.
The driver, according to the sources was released after through interrogation and later the driver and the vehicle was removed from US President Joe Biden’s cavalcade.
